SJYS Philharmonic Orchestra Season Finale Concert

The San Jose Youth Symphony’s Philharmonic Orchestra, under the artistic leadership of Music Director and Conductor Yair Samet, presents its 2025–26 Season Finale Concert. It features works by Chadwick, Rossini & Respighi, and local composer Henry Mollicone, with violin soloist Saarthak Shankavaram. This premier orchestra, made up of the most advanced students in the San Jose Youth Symphony, will open the concert with George Chadwick’s Symphonic Sketches (Jubilee), celebrating American life and full of joy. Featuring orchestra concertmaster as soloist, Saarthak Shankavaram, the orchestra will also perform local composer Henry Mollicone’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, the performance of which is dedicated to his memory. The concert will close with Rossini & Respighi‘s lively and colorful La Boutique Fantasque. This promises to be a great treat for the whole family!
